Our vision is that our aged and disabled clients are valued, respected and supported to achieve social interactions and enjoyment in their lives.

Our Volunteers

Our volunteer staff

Volunteers assist staff to provide care and activities for day and evening clients; they donate their time and skills to the centre and their input is essential to our service.

Our volunteers are recruited through Volunteers Coffs Harbour and are  orientated to the centre. They participate in ongoing training to ensure they are skilled in appropriate care for clients.

Our fundraising support - The Gadabouts.

The Waratah Centre is fortunate to have the support of The Gadabouts, a fundraising group who have nominated our centre as their special focus. The Gadabouts raise funds specifically for improving client facilities and have contributed improvements for client comfort including an outdoor setting, water features, curtains and media items.

Our Board

Waratah Respite Centre (Mid-North Coast) Inc. has been funded to provide Centre Based Day Care to the frail aged, people with dementia and adults with disabilities since 1987. The organisation has an active management committee who have demonstrated their commitment to serving the community by maintaining and improving access to day care and respite.
